Analysts estimate that data-related businesses generated about 10 billion dollars in recent years, and will probably generate more than 30 billion dollars in the years to come.

The growth in job opportunities is tremendous: companies and organizations will need a couple of hundred thousand data scientists and business analytics leaders in the next few years. Moreover, the exponential growth in content-generation will bring about a huge need for highly qualified individuals with an in-depth knowledge and a global understanding of the technological and business challenges underlying the AI and digital revolution era.

This is why two prestigious French Grandes Ecoles ESSEC Business School and CentraleSupélec have partnered to propose this very innovative and complete program. We believe that truly innovative leaders must be both business savvy and erudite in data sciences. Hence we propose a unique program where students learn and combine the key skills in innovation and wealth creation that companies will increasingly require.

This master is for students who are committed to a deep understanding of data sciences and the methods of business analytics, who aim to develop strong skills in mathematical modeling and computer science as well as management savviness.

This hybrid program combines faculty resources of a Top Business School and a Top Engineering School, in Paris and Singapore, to provide a unique and innovative 2-year program (M1+M2) or 1-year program (M2 only), depending on your previous degree and background.

What Makes this Program Unique?

For a global understanding of the challenges underlying the digital era and to master the science of data and the techniques of business analytics, the program has a strong scientific focus and aims to provide students with a comprehensive view of these complementary and intrinsically linked fields, enabling them to develop as fully-operational professionals.

The duration of the Master in Data Sciences & Business Analytics is 2 years (Master 1+Master 2) or 1 year (Master 2 only), depending on your background and latest degree:
If you have or are currently pursuing:
- A 3-year Bachelor or a Licence 3 at the minimum: you will complete the program in 2 years (M1+M2).
- A 4-year Bachelor or a Master Degree at the minimum: you will complete the program in 1 year (M2).
If the commission board finds that your background is strong but not complete enough in some required aspects, we may ask you to join the two-year program (M1+M2) instead in order to build up your strength and ensure your success.

After the first period P1, in which you have laid a powerful foundation, you will spend your next period specializing through a Major. There are three Majors to choose from: The Data Sciences Major takes place at the CentraleSupélec Saclay Campus in France, the Business Analytics Major is followed at the ESSEC France Campus. Finally, the Digital Transformation Strategy Major takes place at the ESSEC Asia-Pacific Campus in Singapore.

In period 2, you must partake in a minimum of 6 elective courses. To successfully become a Major in a direction, four of these electives must be dedicated to the electives within the Major. STEP 1: Anticipate, prepare and take the tests

You will need to provide:

• 1 Management test score - mandatory
• 1 English test score - mandatory. The English test is not required if the applicant has spent at least 3 years in a higher education program completely taught in English. In that case, please provide us an official certificate with the mention that the medium of instruction is English.

It can take several months to prepare and register for an exam slot for these tests. Keep this in mind before starting your application as without these test scores uploaded in your application file, it will be incomplete.

STEP 2: Start your online application

• Create your account and you will receive an e-mail with your login and pin number.
• These are required each time you sign in, so keep them safe!
• You can fill in the application form at your own pace and come back to it at any point.

STEP 3: Upload your supporting documents

A complete application file includes the following items. Incomplete application will not be processed.

All documents must be provided in English or French (except the CV, which must be provided in English only). Official translations must be provided for documents in other languages by a certified translator.

STEP 4: Submit your application

Once you have completed your online application and have attached all the supporting documents, the final step is to submit your online application. Once you have submitted your application online, you cannot make changes to your application.

Please keep in mind that there are several rounds of admissions. The deadlines to submit your application are listed in the table above.

STEP 5: Your application file is ready for review

Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by the admission committee. Each part of your application is taken into account, hence the need to complete it conscientiously. Kindly note that if a clarification is needed, an interview may be scheduled.

STEP 6: Get your results

Your application will be assessed by the Academic Directors and an admissions committee. You will be notified about the results by email (refer to the above mentioned calendar).

If you have been successful, you will then be contacted by the Admissions Office to inform you how to confirm your place in the program.

If you applied for one-year program, please note that if the commission board finds that your experience or background is strong but not complete enough in some required aspects, you may be asked to join the two-year program instead in order to build up your strength and ensure your success.

Please note that once your admission is confirmed, you will not be able to change tracks anymore.

STEP 7: Secure your seat

Following your admission, make sure to secure your seat in the program by paying the non-refundable deposit within 2 weeks.

This amount will be deducted from your tuition fee.

Apart from the total tuition, students should budget an additional amount for living expenses (housing, transportation, food, etc.) from €1,300 to €2,000 per month depending on their lifestyle and preferences.
